With more than 15 years in the insurance industry, including 13 years on the insurance carrier side, Brad brings a unique perspective to helping clients navigate their insurance decisions. His experience working inside insurance companies gives him an understanding of how policies are designed, how underwriting works, and what can make a difference when a claim occurs.

Brad earned both the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, one of the insurance industry’s highest professional credentials held by fewer than 4% of insurance professionals. His technical knowledge helps clients understand not only what they’re buying, but why certain coverages may be worth considering.

Outside the office, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their two toddlers. He and Sarah were both born and raised in St. Louis before making a three year stop in Dallas and eventually settling in Carmel, Indiana in 2020. As a family, they enjoy exploring local parks, trails, and restaurants, making trips back to St. Louis to visit family and friends, and catching Cardinals games whenever they can.

Sarah Chambers is the Co Owner of BWC Insurance and helps keep the agency running behind the scenes while making sure clients receive the personal service they deserve. From supporting day to day operations to assisting with client communication, she plays an important role in creating a smooth experience for both new and existing clients.

Before joining BWC Insurance, Sarah spent 15 years as a physical therapist. Throughout her healthcare career, she developed strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills while leading large clinical teams and helping patients through some of life’s most challenging moments. That experience shaped her thoughtful, organized, and people first approach that continues to benefit BWC Insurance clients today.

Outside the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with Brad and their two toddlers, creating educational insurance content, exploring Carmel coffee shops, restaurants, family walks, and trying to keep up with two busy little boys.

Derrek Gummersheimer leads BWC Insurance’s St. Louis office and enjoys helping people make sense of insurance without the confusing jargon. Whether you’re buying your first home, comparing options at renewal, or just want a second opinion on your current coverage, he’s focused on making the process clear and easy.

As an independent insurance agent, Derrek works with a variety of highly rated insurance companies to find coverage that fits your needs and budget. He believes every client deserves honest advice, responsive service, and someone they can get on the phone when they need help.

His goal is simple: make insurance less stressful and help clients feel confident in the decisions they’re making.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Derrek at the pool or the lake, rooting for the Cardinals (and just about any other sporting event), or adding another item to one of his many collections.
